dave youngDianne has a long history of working with individuals with different abilities. She started in the institutions, then the group homes and now through shared living.  When she was working in the group homes in the 90’s she started to come to Jericho when bringing, a client, Sheilah to Mass.  Four years ago Dianne decided to open her home through Shared Living to a young man named Miguel.  He went to the Therapeutic Equestrian Center and Dianne introduced him to Mass.  Miguel feel in love with the Catholic faith and asked to be baptized and then receive the sacrament of First Communion.  Anyone attending Mass at Jericho has met the charismatic Miguel.  Whether you have been greeted by him at the door before COVID or you hear him proud to say his prayers during Mass, you see his happiness of being at Mass.  Dianne volunteers with and without Miguel in many capacities and is only a phone call away when needed.  We are grateful for her and Miguel’s love of Jericho.
