Year-round Dances
We work with the Knights of Columbus in Chicopee to offer themed dances for adults with disabilities. These are Halloween, Christmas, Valentines Day, Easter and Summer's Coming. We get over 200 - 300p at these dances.
- The clients pay $3/each and the staff/parents/caregivers are free
- We have the same DJ for years that the participants love.
- They get a dinner of a hotdog, chips, fountain soda and cookies
- On the way out they get a small gift that coordinates with the theme.
- During the summer we offer dances in June, July and August at our outdoor Pavillion. These have a smaller attendance of about for a 150 - 200p
- One of these dances is sponsored by a local group and is free to everyone
- One is staffed by our board members
Summer Camps
We provide the space for two camps that service school-age ( 5 - 20) children with disabilities.
- Holyoke Public Schools Extended Year Services that utilize the Pavillion as their home base/classrooms for approximately 150 children
- Communicare AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) brings in children who communicate differently from all over Western MA and other states. This group uses the Celebration Center and the Pastoral Center for approximately 50 children
- Amenities include use of the pond for boating (we have row and paddle boats) and fishing, swimming in our inground 3'deep pool and nature trails
BBQ and Pool Parties in July and August
Dive-In Movie - Outdoor that can be watched from the pool or on the grass in late August
Sensitive Santa
We offer a day a year of pre-scheduled visits with Santa and elf activities including making reindeer food, an ornament, writing a letter to Santa and weather permitting sleigh rides. This is a free event and space runs out every year.
